14.3 Shocks
2) Bilstein ADVISORY: These shocks may be removed from the approved list in 2009 or 2010.

Any decision on this yet? I want to build the car of tommorrow, not the car of yesterday.

I know Koni's are the preferred units, but I can get a great deal on some Bilstein. All of my budget is going into safety equip and licensing, so at this point it's race on my mushy stock suspension until I can afford Koni or go with Bilstein.

No news yet . We have been in contact with a company who might sponsor us if we are a Koni only series.

A sponsorship would be the only reason to go to a single shock in my opinion. The Bilstein is considered the lesser shock but is about half the cost.
I run them and have no issue with them.
Eshock.com has them cheap.

That is why the 2009 rules say it "could change for 2010". We have no desire to outlaw that shock as performance edge, but if we can get sponsor money for the class by being Koni only then I think it is the way to go. You are probably one of a very few not running the Koni.
