Jim Richmond file his story: http://944spec.org/944SPEC/content/view/160/9/

I have to admit witnessing the amount of help and good will to get Jim back onto the track was one of the highlights of the event.

With so many racers and so many battles going on thru out the track I'm sure there are stories everywhere.

Jim, Great write-up. Glad we could get you going. My help was limited but I did help Tim get that pesky ground bolt into the block. Wished I had had more to hold off you and Tim!
See you at Nationals next year!

An excellant example of what 944 is all about!!!

There is no doubt there was lots of racing throughout the field.

It was great to see the group effort that went into getting the Squidmobile back on track at the Nats.

Congrats on your start and finish

That 3 piece piston and rod doesn't look quite legal. I think someone has massaged it slightly;-)

Jim, I vote for you to commentate on the race, I don't think you messed up one name, hell I was on the edge of my seat reading it the whole time!

Glad you had a fun race and did so well, for those that don't know Jim Richmond, he is a great race car driver also airplane pilot (retired)and has a heart of gold which is one reason why so many ran to his rescue.

Did the 300 lb springs make your car turn?

Thanks for the write up, this has motivated me to start working on my experiences during the weeek.

I predict that this great write up, displaying the buddy spirit and the close competition of 944Spec, will go a long way to the class's continued growth.
