TOPIC: '88 924 S 944 high compression engine

'88 924 S 944 high compression engine 11 years, 2 months ago #15395

1988 924 S engine just removed from a good strong running Porsche. 134 k miles from clean ca car. Comes with clutch bell housing, wiring, afm, exhaust basically ready to bolt in to any 924s or early 944. Late 944 will need your harness. This is the 09 engine code which means 10.2 to 1 pistons, 160 hp. It has perfect cylinder bores not a scratch with excellent compression.

$750 for complete engine
$150 for '88 computer
+ shipping

Hey Charlie you are about 4 hrs south of me down bye San Luis obisbo right? Would you want to save more than half the freight charge around $350 yrc to your local freight depot! Instead I can meet you 2/3 of the way in Salinas for $150 more? So $900 delivered to salinas for '88 high comp engine with clutch, exhaust, afm, air box, intake tract, fuel rail , injectors, wiring harness, alternator, No Computer

FYI I'm doing lemons race with our lemons 944 in 2 weeks at sears point right down the street from me so if you know anyone going I could just give engine to them at track??

Hi Shawn, meeting in Salinas would be great.
I cant get there until the last week of March if that works for you. Right in the middle of a rewire job on the racecar and then out of town for 10 days to celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary.
I can send a Paypal to hold engine if needed.
If I find someone going to Lemons I will let you know.
i am going to have to try a Lemons race one of these days, looks like fun.

Shawn,
How much would it cost the rest of the Spec racers to have you disassemble the motor and file the rings enough to guarantee that Charlie can't generate enough horsepower to beat all of us?
