Yeah, I heard even the announcer got excited saying something like he didn't think 3 wide was possible through there. Everyone drove well for sure.

Also, Jim Richmond and I went side by side into the esses in one of the qualifying races which was equally thrilling for both of us.

Unfortunately, I saw Jim's front end bent up after the race where the Miata pummeled him. I didn't see him afterwards so I hope he was okay. I was recording rear view video and caught the action behind me which I didn't see at the time, not pretty. I'll post up the video if Jim's okay.

Post your video. It will take more than a girlie Miata to injure me. Great racing with you. My video of you and I fighting it out Saturday is posted on the SoCal forum.

For those who are interested, the Miata, who was all alone, tried to race our pack of 3 944s. Rather than back off and let me by, he misses his marks, goes off, comes back on, hits me and puts me into the tire wall. I spin, he does not get on his brakes, hits me again and destroys the front of my car. Head up the rear driving on his part.

Unfortunately my video does not show much of our three wide action out of 10.

Hey Jim, it was great racing with you too! You drove well out there and it's a shame what happened but glad you are okay.

Yeah, that Miata was just in the way and looked like he was trying to keep up and should have just let you by. I didn't realize that happened behind me and could just have easily been me. Here's what my rear view camera caught, edited to zoom in on the crash.

Damn, that Miata was a heat-seeking missile locked to you, Jim.

Now with the race behind us I was wondering if folks would be interested in sharing what tire pressures you were running throughout the weekend. Being our first time at the track we tried different pressures starting out but ended up running 29-30psi cold and reading 34-35psi hot. We tried lower pressures earlier but they didn't feel good to me so that's what we went with. The track definitely seemed to get slicker from Friday to Sat/Sun so my times progressively fell off each day.

I'm sure those that run at Sonoma regularly have a better handle on setup but wondering what you guys came up with in general that felt the best for you.

I run lower pressure than most at 31-32 hot. My starting pressures were 26-28 depending on time of day.
